Arabian Common Dolphin

The Common Dolphin was first recognized as one species.
Since a few years this has been changed in the Long-beaked,
Short-beaked and recognized by some scientists the Arabian Common Dolphin.
The Arabian Common Dolphin totally lacks the 'V' shaped pattern
in which the colors of back and belly blend.It also has a longer
and thinner beak.

All of them present a high number of teeth:
no less than 43 for each branch of the jaws,
the upper limit being 60

Common Dolphins mate in spring.
Gestation lasts about 11 months.
Young Common dolphins reach maturity at 5 years old.
In the wild they reach the age of about 20 years.

There are currently no Arabian Common Dolphins in captivity.
No past cases are known of Arabian Common Dolphins in Captivity
